CHARTERS AND UNIVERSALS OF UKRAINIAN METROPOLITANS AND ARCHBISHOPS GIVEN TO THE NIZHYN GREEK COMMUNITY: SOURCE-STUDY DISCOURSE

The article analyzes the charters of Kyiv metropolitans, archbishops and Chernihiv as act materials on history Greeks Ukraine in second half 17th – 18th centuries. On basis source study comparative-typological analysis, their evolution significance for church structure Nizhyn Greek Brotherhood, which was under authority Metropolitan Archbishop up to end 17 century, from beginning 18 century it subordinate only metropolitanate, is considered. From very settlement Nizhyn, authorities looked positively needs provided them with all possible assistance. Evidence this were numerous charters, universals, orders, “oprichna letters” Chernihiv, orders Orthodox Consistory Church. Most published collection acts by Professor A.A. Fedotov-Chekhovsky, archives St. Michael’s Church Nizhyn. contains Slavic texts 24 Ukrainian hierarchs 1680-1784, gave right establish own brotherhood or confirmed such a right. Textological analysis Fedotov-Chekhovsky’s publication five universals given L. Baranovich, an unknown author 1865 “Chernihiv Eparchial News”, M. Storozhevsky’s has revealed textual chronological differences.
